Veteran’s Art Show

On The Hill Gallery will host “The Spirit of American Military Art: The Never Ending Story,” our first-ever exhibition dedicated to American veterans, will take place November 11 – 26, with an opening reception 6 – 8 pm on Veterans Day.


  • The show is open to any veteran from any service branch.
  • Up to two pieces of work will be accepted.
  • The artwork must be framed and wired and ready to hang/display.
  • The paper label aprox. 4 x 4 inches must be attached to the back with artist’s name, medium, price and title.
  • Additional Eligibility and Guidelines

The show will be judged with ribbons and prizes awarded in the following areas:

  • Photography and digital art
  • Painting – all mediums are welcome
  • 3D art – pottery and anything that is not hung on the wall). We want to encourage 3D artists especially.

The first place person in each area will receive a ribbon and a prize. There will be second, third and honorable mentions handed out as well. The cost to participate is free. You do not have to be a member of the Yorktown Arts Foundation.

Drop off of work will be November 1 & 2 between the hours of 11am – 5pm at “On the Hill Gallery”, 402 Main Street in Historic Yorktown.

The work will be hung on Friday and judged either that evening or early Saturday morning.

All participants and their families are invited to show opening with refreshments and drinks on Saturday November 11 from 6 to 8 pm. The reception is free.

All artwork can be picked up at the end of the show on November 28th.
