5x5 2017 small works auction

More than 70 5”x5” works of art have been donated by various artists to help us promote visual arts in our York County community.

The Yorktown Arts Foundation offers free children’s classes in the summer, adult and children’s classes throughout the year. During the winter months, we dedicate our rear gallery space to three separate exhibits for Elementary, Middle, and High School students’ artwork. This fundraiser will support these and other worthy events along with general expenses of our gallery operation.

The small works were created and donated by YAF members and a six “select” influential artists: Holland Wentz Etheridge, Katherine Maloney, Joe Miller (aka Cheap Joe), Jon Moneymaker, Melanie Chambers Hartman and John Tobin.

The 5×5 art will be on display for previews at Riverwalk Restaurant, 323 Water Street, from September 24 to October 9, and at On the Hill Gallery October 10 through the event. During the event, visitors may bid on works through a silent auction and enjoy hors d’oeuvres, desserts from The Carrot Tree and wine from Williamsburg Winery. Other generous sponsors are Triangle Arts and Culture League, Riverwalk Restaurant, Water Street Grill, Viccellio’s Goldsmith, Auntie M’s American Cottage, and Towne Bank of York.
